What can I do with these tracks?
- Commercial use OK
- Allowed in commercial projects too, as long as you credit the artist and follow the track’s other labels.
- Non-commercial only
- Not for uses primarily intended for commercial advantage or payment. Non-commercial use must still follow the track’s other labels. For commercial use, ask the rights holder or check whether the track is available through Jamendo Licensing.
- No changes
- Use it as it is: no remixes or edits. For music, putting it under a video counts as a change, so no video soundtracks either.
- Share alike
- Remixes, and videos that use it, must be shared under the same license.
Credit the artist and title, link to the source and license, and retain any supplied copyright and license notices. On Jamendo the license shows as icons on the track page, which Jamendo explains on its Creative Commons page, and downloaded MP3s may also carry it in their copyright tags. Jamendo also describes free downloads as “for personal use” and sells licenses for tracks in its catalogue; where the artist’s Creative Commons license allows commercial use, no purchase is needed. These are plain-language summaries of the indexed metadata; check the track’s license on Jamendo before reuse.
